Associate Director - Building Structures

This is and exciting time to join this ambitious consultancy in the North East. I am currently looking to speak to Senior level Structural Engineers and upwards to take on this challenging role. It is with a multi-disciplinary consultancy in Newcastle who specialise in Civil Engineering works. They have a strong Structural presence across the country with large teams operating out of their Scotland and Midlands office in addition to their London team. Due to an overwhelming demand for their existing clients in the North East they find themselves needing to bring their Structural services in house.
The successful candidate will be tasked with successfully delivering their current projects focusing on commercial and large scale industrial projects based in the North East. One of the main responsibilities of the role will be to grow this client base and use existing business development skills/networks to grow the business. You will use your extensive business acumen in identifying and exploiting existing business streams within the organisation to develop new opportunities.
You must be Chartered with the ICE or IStructE, you must have developed a network in the North East with a keen understanding of where new business opportunities may lie in the region. You must have a proven experience of developing Junior members of staff and leading successful teams in the region. You will be given recruitment responsibilities; with the agreement in place for positions after this appointment in line with growth strategies.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate. The role is ideal for someone either already operating at Associate Director level, or at a Principal level looking to make the next step up.
