Assembly Technician
Our client is an internationally renowned manufacturer of Aerospace, Automotive, and Industrial flexible shafts. Their products are used in most aircraft flying today, medical instruments, cutting edge industrial applications, millions of cars, and on the International Space Station
They have an exciting opportunity for an Assembly Technician to join them at their UK facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, the primary responsibility of the Assembly Technician is to produce and assemble products for applications within the guidelines provided within the production; engineering and quality departments.
Responsibilities will include:
Variety of production techniques such as swaging or using power presses
Deliver a high quality product
Test product to acceptable tolerances/engineering standards
Maintain Health and Safety requirements
Maintain 5s standards
To partake in all production tasks
Promote safe working conditions and practices at all times
Requirements:
The successful candidate will be/have:
Apprentice served or NVQ qualification in mechanical engineering is essential
Have the ability to multi task and prioritise workload
Skilled and hands-on, detail oriented team player
PC Literate
Understand and develop working instructions
Understand engineering drawings
Ability to identify root causes and develop engineering solutions
Motivated by new challenges and a willingness to take ownership of tasks, a high level of drive and personal commitment, with a desire to develop own skills and experience
