Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join our company. SLR Consultants Group are a young, dynamic company who provide technical and business solutions to Telecoms Providers and Large Enterprise customers. With the continued success and planned growth, we are currently looking for individuals to be based in our Reading office, to work across multiple projects for multiple Tier 1 Telecommunication providers.

The successful candidate will be a strong, well rounded experience Project Manager with a technical background; with good experience of delivering complex telecoms customer solutions, in ICM/Contact

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for managing projects.
  • Assisting with the governance of the project portfolio from initiation through to project completion in relation to tracking progress and managing costs and risks
  • Responsibility for the quality assurance of project, security and regulatory requirements
  • Key stakeholder management at all relevant levels, receive that all projects inputs and support throughout their life cycle
  • Prepare and maintain project plan and managing project budgets
  • Coordination and project reporting, Coordination of Vendor deliveries, where applicable
  • Manage project risks and issues, Escalate and manage resolution of risks and issues
  • Run an effective project change control and management process
  • Run regular project/program Boards to report and progress, issues, recommend and seek approval for program direction
  • Participate in the technical discussion and able to produce project specific documentation
  • Participate in recruitment, orientation and ongoing training of new staff, where applicable.
  • Maintain an understanding of current and future business goals and ongoing issues to ensure business success.
  • Where applicable, contributes towards the project's financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective action.
  • All aspects of Project Management including scope definition, detailed project planning, financial management, building and managing international Matrix teams and stakeholder management.
  • Ensure adherence to the required governance process eg NPD, SFD etc. Able to demonstrate best practice in all aspects of project management.
  • Accurate progress reporting and issue/risk management with timely and effective escalation.
  • Engagement and management of numerous external third parties alongside internal Matrix team.

Experience:

  • Exceptional track record of on-time, on-budget and to-specification delivery of projects
  • Prior experience in delivering Enterprise IT projects in the Telecom Vertical. Unified Communications would be ideal
  • Experience of managing multiple and complex projects across full life cycle of product development.
  • Experience managing projects through the whole life cycle from scoping through to implementation and benefits realisation.
  • Experience with managed SDLC projects.
  • Good experience of Project Management through running large projects with evidence of budget oversight.

Key Skills:

  • Min 5 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in a Telecom IT Services environment
  • Bachelors or Master degree in Computer Science or equivalent or demonstrate substantial experience in the relevant field
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage key stakeholders
  • Technical understanding on all Unified Communications products is preferable.
  • PRINCE2/Certified Scrum Master/PMP certification preferable
  • Working experience of common IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL
  • Advanced knowledge and practical experience in MS Office and Outlook
  • Technical knowledge in Cisco Contact Centre to ensure a good working relationship and understanding with Engineers and designers
