The University of Wales Trinity Saint David is a dynamic and ambitious institution with campuses in Swansea, Carmarthen, Lampeter, London, and the Wales International Academy of Voice in Cardiff. Our Lampeter campus is picturesque, set in beautiful rural Wales.

About the Role

You will provide a helpful and customer-focused Library service for the benefit of all users. You will ensure a professional, helpful, timely and customer-focused response to enquiries received, and ensure that service users can make use of the RFID self-service facilities during opening periods, providing basic assistance.

You will assist in maintaining a safe and secure learning and study environment for users during evening and weekend opening periods, through patrols and by ensuring buildings are securely opened and closed. You will also help to maintain public areas of the building during opening periods, e.g. by moving furniture, clearing tables, clearing books from tables to trolleys, tidying study furniture, re-shelving books, etc.

You will work flexibly to enable advertised evening opening hours to be maintained, as well as potentially working weekends, occasional and ad hoc additional opening hours, such as Bank holidays, Open Day events and extended opening to support examination periods and assignment hand-ins.

About You

You’ll have the passion, enthusiasm and vision to develop the role, and strive to ensure the highest levels of service delivery. With a willingness to take a hands on approach, you’ll also be well-organised and able to work on your own initiative. Fundamentally, we’re looking for an individual who is interested in delivering a great experience for our students, staff and visitors.
