Overview
Unfortunately life is full of unexpected life changing events, which may lead to our customers to make a claim on their Health policy. When they do, we have dedicated teams who are supportive and knowledgeable customer service advisors. Their purpose is to assist our customers request of "Help me to get better and allow me to focus on my personal challenges when I've had a medical condition diagnosed or needing investigation".
What you will be doing
- Answering calls from our customers, assessing and managing their claims journey,
- Offering a bespoke and empathetic service, alleviating the stresses and complexity of their claims in what can be some of the most life changing episodes of their wellbeing.
- Leaving them to concentrate on their journey to recovery, you will be liaising with specialists and hospitals ensuring an outstanding customer experience and taking away the worry of dealing with an insurance claim.
- You will be able to put yourself in their shoes and be able to relate and adapt to their situation and be able to ask the customer questions to obtain relevant information that will assist you in processing their claim.
- You will take full ownership for your customer to get the right outcome for them on that first call whenever possible.
This role would be a great opportunity for those with great customer service skills and possibly some medical (although not essential), background looking to apply their knowledge and skills into a new and rewarding career
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in customer service
- Telephony experience
- Knowledge of insurance products/financial services would be great, but more importantly you will be willing to learn
About You
To be successful in this role we think that you will:
- First and foremost, be a people person! You will need to have a passion for speaking to and engaging with customers on the phone and thrive working as part of a large, friendly team.
- Have excellent listening skills to enable you to respond calmly to understand the customer's needs
- Have had previous experience in a customer service related role.
- Always put yourself in your customer's shoes - Be empathetic towards our customers, understanding and supporting them through a difficult period, making their claim journey easy for them and building a rapport.
- Be a good fact finder and ask the right questions at the right time to get the customers claim processed in the most effective way, guiding them every step of the way through their claim journey.
- Be meticulous and detail orientated. Only through meticulously checking facts and asking questions will you be able to weigh up information and make accurate decisions about the claim.
- You will be flexible to work a variety of shift patterns. Our opening Hours are Monday - Friday 8am-8pm and Saturdays 8am-1pm.Typically, you will be working a 35 hour week, with a 1 in 6 Saturday rota.
