Waking Night Accommodation Recovery Support Worker

Creative Support is a national, fast growing not-for-profit organisation providing support to individuals with a wide range of care needs. We are committed to providing responsive, person centred care which promotes the independence, wellbeing and social inclusion of the people we support. Idle Road is an accommodation based service made up of 4 shared houses serving 18 service users. Service users can live at the service for up to 2 years and within this time the team of Support Workers will work with individuals to provide positive mental health support in a personalised way to develop, empower and promote independence.

You will work in a recovery focused way to provide person-centred care and support to enable people with mental health needs and / or autism to live as independently as possible in the community and to maintain their tenancy with us. You will engage with service users and build trusting therapeutic relationships. Your role will include visiting service users in their own flats, offering practical support to enable them to live independently while also offering emotional support in accordance with their individual support plan. To work closely with other professionals and agencies to provide a co-ordinated personalised service which meets the identified needs of individuals, promotes their recovery and maintains their quality of life.

Experience of working in the care and support sector is preferred; however, if you are a student who has recently completed a relevant qualification and you share our drive, values and passion for helping people with mental health needs, then we would also like to hear from you. This role does not involve delivering personal care. It is beneficial if you are a car driver but not essential.
