Sessional Lecturer (Senior Tutor) - Foundation Degree Food and Culinary Arts

Salary: GBP16.14 - GBP18.17 per hour*
5-6 hours teaching hours per week, plus associated administration
* for each contact teaching hour you will be paid at 1.5 times this rate to allow for preparation, marking and training time.
Main purpose and scope of the post:
To drive and ensure the appropriate delivery of courses within the department, enabling students to develop their potential within the course framework.
To monitor, develop and teach the curriculum to ensure a quality product through appropriate full and part-time teaching, technical support, work experience and resources available in conjunction with the Head of Department and the Curriculum Leader.

Our foundation degree in Food and Culinary Arts is a highly successful, specialist course, which prepares students for careers in the Food industry. The course has excellent links with employers and attracts positive feedback from students and external examiners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership of the degree and liaising with our validating partner, as well as contributing to curriculum delivery and quality assurance improvement processes.
The successful candidate will be an experienced industry professional with experience of contemporary practice issues in Food, Culinary Arts and Hospitality. The candidate will have the ability to design and deliver high quality inspiring programmes of professionally-focussed learning at level 4 and 5, contributing to all modules as described in the course information accessed by the link above.
Educated to degree level in a relevant subject, the successful candidate should also hold a teaching qualification and have relevant industry experience.
