Our client manufactures high tech laser based equipment that is sold worldwide. Their customers are blue chip medical device OEMs and aerospace/space manufacturers. The company is amongst the fastest growing companies in Europe and has seen a more than tenfold increase in turnover in the last 3 years.
Our client is looking to expand its applications / development team to develop new laser processes for Customers in laser stripping, laser soldering and laser welding.
They are looking to strengthen their 22 strong team with a skilled and resourceful scientist / engineer to develop the technology and take a lead in testing customised high-tech equipment.
You will be responsible for
??? Evaluating Customer samples to determine if existing or customised equipment can meet the need
??? Laser processing of sample material
??? Communicating findings to Customer and other stakeholders
??? Researching new technology / laser processes for implementation in the business
Essential Attributes for this post are:
??? Graduate or post-graduate qualification in Engineering, Physics or similar
??? Problem solver / logical thinker
??? Eager to learn
??? Team Player
??? Strong work ethic
Desirable but not essential
??? Direct experience in laser soldering or welding
??? Laser experience
??? Demonstrated written and verbal communications to Customers
