Construction Manager

Search Construction is looking to recruit a Construction Manager for a market leading company operating in the home improvements market.

They build quality extensions including sun rooms & orangeries which will likely be their clients 2nd largest investment other than the house itself. These projects will range in value from GBP30k to GBP80k & sometimes beyond. As a result their customers expect quality which my client has a reputation for delivering.

As Construction Manager you will be responsible for managing multiple teams of directly employed tradesmen who are carrying out the groundworks & building works including digging out for laying foundations & then the brickwork to take the project to a stage where it's handed over to the Joinery / Finishing teams.

You will also represent the company & liaise with the client on any issues that may arise during the building works. You therefore need to be presentable & polished with excellent communication & customer service skills.

They work across Scotland so you need to be prepared to travel & need to be flexible with occasionally working "out of hours" as a customer may want to meet you to discuss an issue which may be in an evening or a Saturday morning.
