As a Talent Advisor you will be Leading and taking ownership of the HS2 talent strategy and succession plan, including tools, frameworks and capability tools. Leading on the end-to-end talent process; defining talent, finding the right talent internally, growing talent capabilities, creating diverse talent pools through the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) strategies and enabling the business to make the best talent decisions. This is not a talent acquisition role but will work closely with the Resourcing team to ensure robust pipelines of Talent and critical strategic capabilities across HS2.

About the role:
  • Support the Talent Manager in creating the HS2 Talent Management Strategy
  • Create the succession planning processes and tools
  • Create talent assessment tools to enable potential to be assessed effectively and accurately, including talent development, assessment and development centres
  • Oversee and coordinate the Graduates, Interns and Apprentice programmes in line with the early Talent Strategy
  • Working with our existing and new HR systems to ensure that data is captured in the most effective way to support the talent strategy
  • Produce talent/ succession reports in a timely fashion
  • Develop strong relationship with key stakeholders within HR and across the business

About You:
  • Proven capability in supporting talent, performance management, leadership and management development
  • Proven capability in technologies used to capture talent/ succession data
  • Proven capability in overseeing early talent programmes
  • Able to demonstrate good analytical, planning and organisational skills
  • CIPD Qualified or equivalent experience that would be relevant for this role.
  • Knowledge of the latest thinking on talent management and succession planning
  • Knowledge of good practice in relation to early talent programmes
  • Knowledge of operating in a multi-cultural environment.
