Financial Accountant

Sanderson Finance are looking appoint a Financial Accountant to support a leading public sector provider within Bristol and surrounding areas. This is a permanent vacancy offering a salary up to GBP35,000.

The main purpose of this roles is to take ownership of the company's financial accounting and ensure that all accounts are managed and prepared in a timely and accurate manner.

Financial Accountant responsibilities include:

* Responsible for the general day to day management of an accounting service provider
* Preparation of financial information when making strategic decisions
* Production of company balance sheet and bank reconciliations
* Supporting and presenting preparation of financial reporting to senior management and the Board
* Assist Deputy Finance Director with the annual External Audit
* Implement financial policies and delegate financial instructions

Key skills/attributes:

* CIMA/CCAB qualified accountant or finalist
* Commercial mind set, business focussed approach and able to engage with non-finance employees across all levels
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence a negotiate
* Strong analytical skills and the ability to make strategic and complex decisions
* Strong IT skills, proficient with using Excel and manipulate spreadsheets
* Ability to work to own initiative and prioritise duties to meet strict deadlines
