A market leading Defence / Aerospace company are seeking a Mechanical Inspector to carry out Inspection / calibration duties and maintain the required high standards of quality in accordance with defined company specifications , procedures and inspection levels
Role :
+ Inspection of precision components from in-house manufacture / assembly , sub-contractors and suppliers
+ First off inspection
+ First article inspection ( FAI ) and reporting
+ Update and maintain paperwork associated with inspection procedures
+ Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers when required
+ Source inspection ( inspect at suppliers )
Skills :
+ Experience in using precision measuring equipment
+ Good understanding of Mechanical Inspection Techniques
+ Good working knowledge of ISO 9001:2001 and ideally AS9100 Rev
+ Manufacturing experience ( mechanical )
+ Ability to interpret Engineering Drawings
+ Ability to interpret Geometric Tolerances
+ Experience of advanced planning for inspection methodology ( Gauging , CMM , Shadow Graph , General Inspection Equipment ) and create an Inspection plan
+ Calibration experience
+ Preferred CMM experience
+ Preferred Visual Fair Software ( FAIR )
+ Preferred Tensile testing experience for Product Quality Testing ( PQT )
