Our client based in Bath are looking for a Sub-Assembler to join their team. The primary purpose of this role is to build electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies to a consistent level of quality and build rate.
Main Responsibilities:
*Build sub-assemblies to a consistently high level of quality, following the relevant process instructions and using hand tools and power tools.
*It is necessary to achieve and maintain a consistent build rate.
*You will be expected to learn how to build a number of sub-assemblies and similar activities.
*You will be expected to work overtime in order to share heavy workloads when required, in order for us to fulfil customer promises.
*You must comply with all safety requirements in particular manual handling procedures.
*You will be expected to contribute to company's improvement processes and help reduce waste in whatever way you can, the company will support suggestions for the improvement of working methods.
Requirements:
*Must have good dexterity and be able to maintain concentration in order to apply a good level of attention to detail.
*Must be able to learn instructions and retain them.
*Must be willing to learn new skills.
*Must be flexible in approach; for example, be prepared to work in different areas and work overtime as required.
*Must maintain a good level of attendance and demonstrate a good health record.
*Must be a good team player, that is to say, must respect company rules and values, respecting others and working well with them.
*Previous experience in a similar light electro-mechanical assembly role or experience of an engineering environment would be advantageous.
*A desire to develop skills and progress to other roles would be an advantage.
