Our client based in Bath is looking for an Assembler/Fitter.
This role will involve working as part of the Materials Management Team; receiving, storing and delivering components. You will be responsible for supporting fast moving and fluid assembly lines and work within the spares cell, processing orders to meet customer deadlines.
Responsibilities:
*Unloading shipments from global suppliers including containers and HGV's.
*Checking the contents of each delivery for damage and ensuring they match the corresponding purchase orders.
*Accurately updating stock records using a computerised system.
*Ensure the safe and accurate storage of high value components within the warehouse.
*To undertake the inspection of critical dimensions on finished components to ensure they comply with company specifications.
*The timely supply of components from the warehouse to the assembly lines using Kanban and other stock pull systems.
*Accurately picking and packing components to supply to global manufacturing sites.
*Fulfilling spares orders, which will include some assembly, to meet customer deadlines.
Requirements:
*A versatile team player with good attention to detail.
*Experienced in, or the willingness to learn, operating Bendi and Counter Balance fork lifts in a high-volume goods in and warehouse environment.
*To work at height operating a VNA Man Up Truck.
*Accurate order picking and the drive to meet customer deadlines.
*To achieve high standards of housekeeping within the warehouse.
*IT skills including Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
