Due to company expansion, we have an immediate and permanent vacancy for a Test Technician with electronics specialism, with fault finding, diagnostics and repair skills.
- GBP26,000 - GBP30,000 Per annum
- 08.30 - 17.30 Mon- Thurs / 08.30 - 15.00 Friday
- 4 weeks paid holiday per annum, PLUS bank holidays

About the job
- Undertake fault finding tasks with electronic circuits using schematic diagrams.
- Set up test equipment and test jigs both for in-circuit and full functional testing of SMTs and complete products.
- Test PCBs and complete electronic products following test procedures recording test results as directed.
- Upgrading and modification of assemblies and finished product.
- Completion of test reports and documentation in accordance with customer requirements and in line with the Quality Management System standards.
- Liaising with Design Engineering, Test Equipment Design and Sales in support of meeting customer requirements and finished product quality and performance.
- Investigate and fault find faulty electronic printed circuit assemblies or complete electronic based products using schematic diagrams and the full range of test equipment available leading to their repair.
The right candidate...
- Electronic Technician degree and/or 2 years experience in electronic testing
- Extensive experience of through hole PCB assembly and SMT methodology
- Ability to use test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, digital power supplies and multi meters.
- Experience in soldering and rework methods to IPC standards.
- Experience of repair and diagnostic fault finding experience to component level.
- Competent in setting up and the use of oscilloscopes, DVMs, spectrum analysers for testing & fault finding electronic assemblies and computer driven test systems.
