Multi Skilled Engineer - Technology UK -to be based in Chilworth

Sky has extensive Critical Mechanical and Electrical systems spread across many geographical locations underpinning the entire customer experience described above.

This role is to focus on the key aspect of M&E systems and ensure their correct operation and maintenance providing a firm platform for continued business success.

Your key responsibilities:
  • To undertake shift work as a resident engineer at Chilworth.
  • Proactively manage electrical and mechanical building systems on a daily basis.
  • Undertake and promote safe and ethical practices at all times.
  • Take ownership of your site, promote high standards and improvements.
  • Travel to other Sky sites to undertake M&E activities will be necessary from time to time.
  • Participate in a call-out process.


Your skills

• With a technical qualification such as BTEC, ONC or City & Guilds, or equivalent ideally with a mechanical or electrical apprenticeship - or significant experience.

• Some knowledge of all major equipment and system types.

• The ability to fault find and determine events. To have a good working knowledge of UPS, Generation, Batteries and Electrical distribution systems.

• Experience of maintaining and Operating electrical systems. •

• You'll be able to explain the essential elements in mechanical and electrical systems and their operation.

Please note this role will require shift work (working a 42 hour week) and a need the post holder to hold a full UK (or equivalent) driving licence.
