A large, independent Sheffield based accountancy practice is looking for an experienced and ambitious Payroll Administrator to join their thriving finance team for 3-6 Months.

The successful candidate will be experienced in Sage50 Payroll and be able to manage a varying workload, duties include:

Process payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis to clients' instructions, including;

  • Re-working salaries where relevant eg salary change, new starters
  • Supporting clients as they approach their Auto Enrolment staging dates, then providing a full after service to ensure clients are compliant with The Pensions Regulator current legislation
  • Processing and submitting pension scheme information to Pension Providers as required
  • Accurately calculating all statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP etc
  • Downloading on-line information from HMRC eg P6, Student loan forms
  • Checking for accuracy after input
  • Making RTI submissions to HMRC
  • Completing forms, on HMRC website, for clients eg P45, P46
  • Producing payslips and reports to send to clients
  • Advising clients of PAYE liability and deadlines for payment
  • Producing relevant P45s and filing on-line
  • Completing year-end action, including P60s and reports to clients
  • Submitting year-end documents on line
  • Keeping up-to-date with all changes to payroll and pensions legislation
  • Answering clients' correctly and dealing with payroll queries accurately


36?? hours per week from 09:00 to 17:15 Monday to Friday.
