Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Global Contractor - Energy from Waste Plant
Locations: Belfast
Contract Assignment: 4 months with possible extension
An experienced and motivated Graduate/Assistant Quantity Surveyor is required to join a global contractor on one of their landmark projects in Belfast. Currently in a peak of work, we are looking for an individual to join a small commercial team dedicated to the construction and commissioning of a new Energy from Waste plant. This is a prestigious project using advanced technology producing power to generate homes. As Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, supporting and responsible for budget control, cost forecasting and settlement of subcontractor payments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting into the Senior Quantity Surveyor, key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the measurement and valuation of site works
- Measurement of valuations, variations and final accounts
- Settlement of subcontractors in accordance to programme requirements
- Preparation of cash flow forecasts, advising of change to projected forecasts
- Tasks delegated by the Senior Quantity Surveyor - administration, reports, correspondence
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Working as a team my client is interested in hearing from Graduates right through to experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyors. You must have a formal qualification i.e. HNC/HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying with some industry experience ideally on a large project. This role is site based so you must be able travel/be in commutable distance of Belfast.
