Electronics Engineer

My client are seeking an experienced and motivated Electronics Engineer to join their Global Product Development team. The role, based out of their Clevedon UK office is part of an international team that identifies customer needs and designs, tests and encapsulates new products and services for the water and environmental sector.

The successful applicant for this new position will be a key resource on development projects with an emphasis on electronic products for data logging and telemetry applications, and will work as part of cross-functional teams drawn from various disciplines within the business, providing engagement on wide geographical and business fronts.

Key duties of Electronics Engineer:

- Design of new electronic products, liaising with sub-contract manufacturers
- Design or specify mechanical components and enclosures related to telemetry RTUs or other instruments; liaising with designers and suppliers for component production.
- Design and specification of ARM firmware for primary and manufacturing test applications.
- Developing production test scripts for final assembly QA, monitoring results and analyzing fault report issues and statistics.
- Project management of small teams of electronic and firmware engineers to ensure projects are planned and delivered to time and budget, with progress reporting to management.

Qualifications of Electronics Engineer:

- Solid experience in the design of low-power micro-controller based electronics
- Experience with ARM embedded system development tools
- Expertise in electronic CAD design
- Analogue & digital design experience
- Degree in engineering discipline or similar
