New opportunity not to be missed. NFER is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Learning & Development Manager to join the team based in Slough. Joining us on a part time permanent basis working 3/4 days per week or reduced hours over five days, you will receive a competitive salary of £40,885 - £46,016 per annum depending upon qualifications and experience.

We are seeking to appoint a talented individual to the post of Learning & Development Manager to work collaboratively across the organisation and to support its continued development and the achievement of its business aims, through the design and delivery of a range of business tailored development solutions.

The Learning & Development Manager is a key member of the NFER HR Department and is critical to the service we provide to the organisation; the post holder’s main responsibilities will include:

- Developing the NFER corporate L&D strategy, identifying and securing buy-in from senior management for the key strategic priorities

- Preparing and managing the L&D annual budget and monitoring expenditure

- Designing, developing, delivering and evaluating the L&D programme, to address key skill shortages and support individual plans

- Delivering in-house solutions and providing face to face, blended learning and on-line resources to meet identified development needs

- Developing, delivering and monitoring effective performance management across the organisation

- Delivering one-to-one coaching and mentoring to management and staff at all levels

- Administering and facilitating feedback on psychometric tests or assessments for individual and team development.

Enthusiastic, innovative and with demonstrable working knowledge and experience of applying learning and development techniques, the successful candidate will have:

- The ability to take the strategic and long-term view of the organisation’s L&D needs, including e-learning digital solutions

- Proven experience in the design and delivery of training

- Proven experience of commissioning and evaluating services from external providers

- Demonstrable and effective leadership skills

- The ability to influence and motivate others, and to gain buy-in to recommended initiatives or solutions

- The flexibility required to meet changing priorities and business needs

- Excellent communications skills
