We are currently recruiting for 3 Senior Hydrogeologists to provide technical support to water operations on issues relating to groundwater hydrogeology and abstraction. These positions are based across the Southern Water region at our sites in Otterbourne (Hampshire), Burham (North Kent) and Falmer (East Sussex).


In this role you will be responsible for delivering an annual programme of well headworks condition inspections coupled with an area specific plan to proactively manage and assess groundwater abstraction regimes, groundwater quality risks, well condition surveys, well testing and assisting standby well returns to service . This work is vital to ensure compliance with water quality and environmental regulations. Responsibilities will include acting as the operational technical hydrogeology lead on your area groundwater assets, with the aim to promote consistent asset management principles, and assess potential risks to a continued reliable supply of high quality drinking water.

We're looking for people with a strong background in the water industry, a relevant degree and graduate higher degree, and ideally chartered or working towards chartered status. To be successful in this position you'll need good planning and project management experience with excellent report writing and presentation skills. Ideally you will be proficient in Proficiency in using GIS software such as MapInfo/ArcGIS/QGIS.
