Launchpad Support Worker
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £16,600 pa pro rata
Annual earnings based on a full time basic salary of £15600 per annum plus a Market Rate Allowance of £1,000 per annum.
Contract Type: Part-Time, Permanent

The Role
As a Launchpad Support Worker you will be providing an excellent and flexible support service across Basingstoke for people with a learning disability. The role is client focused, and involves supporting people during the day, in community based leisure, occupational and vocational activities of their choosing. Working Monday to Friday you will meet with clients at an agreed time and place in the community or collecting them from home using your car. You will provide support to a small group of people, across a number of day opportunities which can include accessing leisure and sport facilities, access to employment and volunteering, colleges, libraries and other community based opportunities, all working to develop client independence in their chosen activities.

About You

Our Support Workers make a real difference to people's lives so as part of this rewarding role you must have a good understanding of person centred support planning and enabling risk. You will understand the needs of people with a learning disability and have local knowledge of what's available to them in the area as well as being a car driver with relevant business insurance to enable client access to support.

Essential Requirements

Relevant knowledge and skills relating to individuals with a learning disability are desirable, and your values really count as a Launchpad Support Worker. You will also have the opportunities for further training and development and regular support and supervision from an experienced management team.

To be a successful Launchpad Support Worker you need to be professional and pro active in all that you do, be motivational, encouraging and supportive for clients and colleagues alike. A good sense of humour and fun will help make you a success in this role.
