Project Software Engineer

This leader in NDT sector (OEM System Integrator) is looking for an intermediate software engineer to join the software development team and help developing software for ongoing R&D projects. This is an exceptional opportunity at a hot growing company in the NDT area. This is an opportunity to work and progress to team lead level.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As a project software engineer you will work to develop:
- Data acquisition software using LabView for R&D projects.
- Maintaining current VB based image analysis software
- Developing new drawing software add-ons

Required technical skillset:
- Knowledge of LabView
- Experience with X-ray image capturing and analysis would be +
- Image processing knowledge would be +
- Understanding of VB, .Net, C Sharp
- Experience with software development tools such as Jira, SVN
- Comfort and familiarity with producing and writing customer facing documentation
- Proven experience estimating work accurately and driving to defined milestones

Education & Skills:
- Understanding of project management and appreciation of resource, risk and timeline
- BA/BS in related technical field or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 2 years of work experience
- Clear and concise communicator; good at setting expectations and raising issues as needed
- Self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic, and innovative
- Strong team player and positive attitude
