With 12,000 homes, 25,000 customers and 600 employees, our client is a strong, resilient and effective provider of homes and care services throughout Shropshire and Staffordshire. The Group has ambitious plans to build more homes and provide even better choice for customers and communities.
The Lettings Team is one of the first touch points for customers who wish to be rehoused. The service deals with around 1200 housing applications per year. In addition the service also deals with up to 600 properties that become empty as a result of customers leaving (due to a variety of reasons) creating ‘waste’ costs and loss for the business.
They are looking for a Team Leader who can effectively develop and manage this service and drive business and customer gains through continuous improvement. This position places a strong value on minimising rent loss and repairs expenditure, maximising income and lengthening tenancy sustainment, leading on projects that take the best of existing practices and also seeking out innovative new approaches elsewhere, both from within the housing sector and elsewhere.
Our client is looking for an experienced and pro-active Team Leader with a strong sense of customer service, enthusiasm and determination. The successful candidate will have led a successful lettings team and have experience of managing a wide range of administration functions. Reporting to the Voids and Lettings Manager you will work alongside colleagues across the business in order to drive our voids performance.
Specific skills are required to deliver this role, particularly strong leadership and motivational skills, a can do attitude and excellent problem solving skills, be able to organise own work and that of others, whilst using your initiative to achieve targets and objectives. A background of the sector and a good knowledge of Choice Based Lettings Schemes is desirable. A full UK driver’s licence is essential for the role.
