The role of Finance Business Paartner is the opportunity to be the lead partner for the UK technology department. The individual is expected to challenge all areas of technology spend and ensure the delivery of IT services to the wider business, provide value for money.

Description
- Manage financial support for the ongoing strategic review of the Technology road map
- Lead a small team and actively manage their development and performance to continually improve the provision of finance support to the department
- Proactively manage the Technology finances and ensure all reporting, analysis and commentary is fit for purpose
- Play a key role in the authorisation process for Technology spend and ensure authority levels are appropriate
- Partner effectively with the Technology Leadership Team and challenge all spend appropriately
- Lead the Technology budget and forecasting process
- Accountable for the delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts for Technology
- Proactively monitor costs against budget /forecast
- Accountable for financial support through the entire project life cycle of Technology projects
Profile
Essential:
- Commercially aware
- Advanced IT and systems skills, e.g. Excel
- Proven track record in finance business partnering
- Ability to present data in an accessible manner
- People management experience
- Qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA or CIMA) with relevant experience
Desired:
- Knowledge of the various types of Technology spend
- Awareness of project management techniques and project life cycle stages
- Previous experience of using SAP
