We are looking to recruit a Production Planner to plan and schedule floor production in conjunction with the Production Manager of a Stevenage based company. You will liaise with customers, via the sales department regarding scheduling of their orders.

Responsibilities

* Assist with the planning and organisation of the shop floor manufacturing, inspection and test workload. Identify resource limitations that may prevent the plans from being achieved.
* Assist with planning new jobs and processing contract reviews.
* Liaise with the Purchasing Manager and Production Material Expeditor to ensure that components and consumables are available to achieve the production plans.
* Liaise with Production Engineering Manager, Inspection Supervisor and Test Manager to ensure that machine time and programming, flow solder, ATE and general test facilities are available to meet the requirements of the production schedule.
* Liaise with Production Engineering Manager with regard to new product introduction to ensure documents, tooling etc are available for agreed production start dates.
* Liaise with customers, via sales department, so that scheduling changes are accommodated by changes to the production plans. Where the changed requirements cannot be achieved, or if production slippage is likely to occur due to other causes, discuss with customers, via sales department, and set priorities to minimize customer dissatisfaction.
* Liaise with Epicor System Co-ordinator to ensure that all production data is updated and maintained. Ensure that all production reports are regularly produced and distributed as required.
* Attend daily planning meeting.
* Assist in relation to closing down of works orders.
* Provide cover for raising of despatch notes.
* Provide cover for the Production Co-ordinator.
* Provide cover for the inputting of works orders and MES / time recording system.
* Work to ISO9001:2008 and AS9100 quality requirements.
* Follow and uphold the Company's environmental policy, procedures and instructions in order to minimize environmental impacts from its activities.

Requirements

* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
* Computer literate
* Previous experience in a similar environment
* Knowledge of ISO 9001: 2008 and AS9100 quality standards would be an advantage
