The College has a temporary requirement for a HR Business Partner, based at our Kettering campus, to support the Director of HR in providing a comprehensive range of professional HR advice and support to managers and staff within the College. Aligned to specific Curriculum areas and Business Support functions, the post holder will be expected to provide the full range of operational 'Business Partner' duties, this is likely to include taking a lead role in the delivery of designated projects.
Duties will include advising and supporting managers and staff on the interpretation and application of the College's HR policies and procedures, terms and conditions of service and employment law. The advice given will reflect current legislation and best practice whilst remaining commercially focussed at all times. You will also advise and support managers through all stages of HR procedures, including participating in investigations, attending hearings and taking notes at hearings as appropriate.
Applicants will have up to date knowledge of Employment Law and its practical implementation, and understanding and experience of the main Employee Relations processes, e.g. sickness absence, disciplinary, grievance, performance issues, change management.
The successful applicant will have experience in the management of complex case work and its successful resolution, experience of working with Trade Unions and experience in supporting and advising managers across the range of employee relations issues.
To be shortlisted, you will be Graduate CIPD with significant HR experience and a good all round level of education to include Maths and English to GCSE (Grade A - C) or equivalent level (level 2),
