PHP / Laravel Developer - Senior/Mid Level

Job Description:

After an initial period of company training you will be required to work under your own initiative on a range of large and small projects, you will collaborate with their team of in-house Laravel Developers, Digital Designers and UI/UX Designers on projects, you will be involved in creating responsive websites using Laravel for a variety of business scenarios from bespoke solutions to ecommerce, as well as ad hoc work on their existing portfolio.

As an experienced developer you should be prepared to work with and learn from other developers in the team, and also take responsibility for the mentoring of others within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work on your own or with the current development team to build new web projects
- Keep abreast of current best practice in web development and integrate them with your work
- You should be proficient with the Laravel framework
- The ability to learn new Technologies and develop your skillset
- Implementation of site upgrades and security patching

Required skills:

- Strong technical analysis and problem solving skills
- Commercial experience with the following technologies:
- PHP (OO + Procedural)
- SQL (any dialect, we use MySQL most often)
- Responsive design implementation
- HTML5
- CSS3/Sass
- Javascript (+ jQuery)
- Laravel
- Git
- Basic Linux server administration
- Consuming/integrating REST APIs
- NodeJS/Gulp/Grunt
- Apache Solr (>= 4.x)
- Configuring and working with different stacks (LEMP, LAMP, etc)

Desirable skills:

- C# (and related .NET technologies)
