Technical Support Structural Engineer - Colchester
Technical Support Engineer / Machinery Engineer / Spares Engineer
Working for a huge global specialist in food manufacturing machinery, this is a brand new vacancy in the UK office. With sites and subsidiaries in 6 continents, a huge global network and diversified interests, this is a well-established, secure and exciting business offering a close to entry level role, with potential to swing sideways into various departments and skillsets.
The role is a technical support position, sitting within the UK service and manufacturing site in Colchester. The position is responsible for creating and maintaining specialist documentation and equipment tracking systems in order to ensure continuous improvement of engineering processes.
You will produce a coding system of the companies' machines, maintain this system and produce relevant documentation. Using product lifecycle management software you will track product queries and assess warranty requests, maintain fact sheets and communicate will high quality customer service skills with clients.
Ideally you will be an engineer by training and background, with an existing understanding of PLM and SAP systems, as well as their application with product management and request handling. The most crucial experience is an understanding of, and experience with, writing and maintaining technical documentation.
