Chef de Partie

This is an opportunity for an enthusiastic, committed and experienced Chef de Partie to join the friendly catering team at this clubhouse restaurant, in the stunning environment of Chichester Marina.

Their members restaurant has up to 180 covers on a busy service with meals ranging from sandwiches to freshly prepared daily specials using seasonal produce.

Functions including wedding receptions, anniversaries, Christmas parties and club social events, serve up to 120 covers.

Working with the Head Chef, the Chef will be expected to cover all aspects of food preparation, as well as hygiene, health and safety and supervision of junior staff.

Confidence, flexibility and good team working skills are essential, together with a polite and friendly manner for dealing with customers. Experience of banqueting and functions is an advantage but not essential. However the role does require weekend working for the majority of week ends.

They are looking to appoint as soon as possible; however, if the ideal applicant needs to give notice, we will be happy to wait.

Whilst this role is part time with a minimum of 20 hours per week, at a rate of between £9.00 and £10.00 per hour. There will be additional hours during the peak periods. In addition there is the prospect that this role will develop into a full time role for the right candidate in due course.
