Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant - GBP30,000 - GBP38,000 - Environmental Organisation - Permanent - High Wycombe

Our client, a UK market leading environmental organisation based in Buckinghamshire are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant on a permanent basis.

Duties:

• Monthly reconciliation of tax report to the general ledger and preparation of the quarterly landfill tax return for submission to HMRC

• Preparation and submission of Office for National Statistics (ONS) surveys

• Ownership & reconciliation of pension fund recharges account, ensuring that accurate claims are submitted monthly to the pension manager and to the 3rd party pension administrator and that recharges are received promptly and recognised correctly

• Monthly review of new general ledger accounts to ensure they are correctly set-up. Maintain the monthly reconciliation listing for all reconciliations across the company

• Responsibility for a variety of tax reconciliations including preparation of PAYE PSA settlement agreement calculations, monthly reconciliation of VAT reports to the general ledger, preparation of the quarterly VAT return for submission to HMRC and completion of monthly Intrastat workings and submission to HMRC

• Support the team and Senior Financial Accountants with divisional balance sheet preparation, bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations, as well as other ad-hoc duties as required

  Requirements:

• ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified

• ERP Systems experience

• Intermediate to Advanced Excel (V Look Ups and Pivot Tables)

• Relevant prior experience in a financial accounts department

• Strong communication and business partnering skills
