Marketing Operations Manager - Vacancy
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially-minded Marketing Operations Manager to support the product development and marketing of a range of science industry-focused, standards-based skills products and services, including apprenticeships, placements, training provision and training courses.
Cogent Skills Services (CSS) is the commercial subsidiary of Cogent Skills, a national organisation working at the interface of industry, Government and training providers. Assisted by major UK employers, the Cogent Group builds partnerships, services and connections within the public and private sector to support and maximise the skills development for the UK’s science-based sector.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, and leading the CSS Marketing Team and activities, you will be based at the Cogent Skills Warrington Headquarters.
You will develop and deliver the CSS marketing strategy and plan, and position CSS as the Go-To-Place that provides skills solutions for the science-based industries. Working closely with the Commercial Business Director to ensure profitability of CSS products & services through the development and implementation of a robust CSS product portfolio sales & marketing plan.
Working with the Commercial Business Director, you will develop a clear “value proposition” and ensure that marketing and communications are timely, consistent and support market positioning. Leading on website functionality, you will be responsible for the full marketing mix including the development of appropriate social media channels and engaging content including case studies, webinars and thought-provoking blogs.
Candidates, qualified to degree level in a marketing/communications or related discipline, or with appropriate supplementary qualifications, will have evidence of developing, maintaining and delivering effective marketing and communications strategies.
You will also offer strong analytical and organisation skills and possess a great attention to detail, ideally gained within a commercial, customer-focused training and skills environment.
With proven experience of website content management systems and targeted use of social media, along with exemplary interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, you will have a genuine enthusiasm for teamwork and partnership working.
