Role: Specification Technologist
Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire
Contract: Full time - Permanent
Salary: GBP20,000 to GBP25,000 per annum

Do you want to work for an innovative and forward thinking company? Our client, who is part of an extremely reputable and prestigious group of companies require a Specifications Technologist to join their team in Wakefield. This position is Monday to Friday, 0800 until 1700 (40hpw)

The role:

This position will focus on the accurate and timely completion of customer product specifications and artwork approvals. You will ensure compliance in line with both the customer's policies, within the wider UK and EU regulations.

You will work in conjunction with other departments to ensure all information is received. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, leadership and influencing ability.

The responsibilities:

* Writing/maintaining customer product specifications
* Reviewing/approving artwork
* Communicate with suppliers to maintain material specifications
* Working alongside other departments
* Provide weekly updates and attend meetings with the customers
* Keep up to date on UK, EU and customer policies regarding foo law
* Responding promptly and accurately to requests
* Assisting with ad-hoc duties

Desirable skills/experience:

* Relevant degree in Food, or a related subject
* Understanding of legal labelling regulations
* Experience of using product specification and artwork systems.
