brighterkind operates in the excess of 70 care homes throughout England, Scotland and the Channel Islands and employs more than 4,000 people. We are already the 5th largest provider in the UK with aspirations to develop further over the next three years.

Regional Manager

As a Regional Manager, you will lead a business area of approximately 8 homes ensuring optimum levels of care to all service users in a safe, welcoming, caring and stimulating environment, whilst driving revenue for the region and developing brighterkind brand awareness.

You will lead and develop a team of Managers to oversee and carry out all day to day activities within their home in line with external regulators, company policies and procedures. You will be responsible for carrying out annual appraisals, supervisions and mid-term reviews for all Home Managers within the Region.

You will have had experience in a similar role where you have gained an in depth understanding of CQC requirements and strong leadership skills.

Financial and Resource Management

-Maximise financial performance of the business area, striving to exceed budgetary targets and taking action in response to financial underperformance;

-Participate in contract and service level negotiations with commissioners and engage with stakeholders for annual fee reviews.

People Management

-Lead and develop a team of Managers to oversee and carry out all day to day activities within their home in line with external regulators, company policies and procedures;

-Responsible for carrying out annual appraisals, supervisions and mid-term reviews for all Home Managers within the Region.

Business Development

-Engage in focused networking activity throughout their area to identify and develop business opportunities.

-Strategic Planning and Development

-Review skills and knowledge levels of team members and provide opportunities for training, development and extension; Responsible for building and maintaining excellent relationships with external stakeholders in the public, other private and voluntary sectors.

Quality

-Monitor services and, levels of service, provided to the residents through well trained, competent and committed employees;

-Ensure the delivery of the highest standards of care and hotel services throughout the Home at all times including accurate and timely completion of key documentation in line with company policy and information governance;

-Carry out quality audits and work in conjunction with the Home Managers to develop a remedial action plan where necessary, to ensure full compliance of the company's quality agenda.
