Our client is part of a leading global business services company operating across the UK and into Europe providing a number of different services. With a strong history and great foundation, they are moving into a new phase of their development which will see strong growth over the next few years.

The Role

We have been retained to identify and recruit a technical graduate to join the team as a trainee project engineer. The role will suit a bright technical candidate with excellent communication skills and a commercial awareness who is keen to develop their career within an environmental project management role.

The company has recently invested significant capital into new facilities and equipment and have ambitious plans to grow their environmental service both in the UK and increasingly on an international basis. To aid this growth they are looking to recruit a capable graduate to train as a project engineer. The role will require the successful candidate to work in a technical customer facing role, requiring you to be able to manage technical information whilst also retaining the ability to communicate and build relationships and importantly delivering the required commercial outcomes.

Whilst this is a trainee role, ultimately you will have the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• To discuss the clients requirements through questioning and providing quotes
• Project management for a range of different customers
• Continuous liaison with customers providing feedback on a regular basis
• Ensure projects are completed on a timely basis with the desired commercial outcome

Skills and Experience

• A degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry or a similar subject / discipline.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A genuine wish to develop a long term successful career.
