My client are a leading supplier of Systems Integration and Electrical Control Systems. Due to continued success, they are seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join and strengthen the existing UK wide team.

This role will be site based for at least 80% of the working week with a company van provided.

The Role:

• Attendance at commissioning meetings with representatives from the clients engineering and operational teams
• Undertaking Factory Acceptance Testing for major items of plant
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors throughout the on-site commissioning process
• Undertaking client training covering both operational and technical competencies
• Provision of emergency call out cover where necessary
• Completion of commissioning records and diaries ensuring that all progress and equipment settings are recorded for the O&M manuals
• Undertake the role of site manager during the commissioning / snagging phase of the projects you are involved, in order to ensure the client complies with all the relevant regulations and provide a point of contact for the client at site level
• Assist the design team by undertaking site visits to gather information for the purposes of tendering prior to construction
• Assist the design team and prepare electrical designs ensuring compliance with the current IEE regulations and all other relevant specifications

Qualifications & Experience:

• An industry applicable ONC or City & Guilds / NVQ equivalent
• Relevant H&S qualifications (relevant CSCS card, EUSR Card Blue Water, EUSR SHEA, JIB)
• Mitsubishi (Q series PLC) experience
• Rockwell (ControlLogix PLC, RS Logix) experience
• Siemens (S5, S7, Winn CC) experience
• Wonderware InTouch experience
• Profibus experience
• Allen Bradley experience
• Candidates will be computer literate and able to work effectively with Microsoft Office as a minimum.
• Experience within the Water Industry sector would be an advantage, including areas such as potable water production and distribution and waste water treatment

The role will involve the commissioning, interfacing and setting to work of equipment including:

- Motor Control Centres
- Pumping Plant
- Process Equipment
- Various Instrumentation
