Relationship Director - Funds

As a Barclays Relationship Director
you will proactively build and acquire internal and external business relationships to grow a portfolio of Funds clients to generate sustained revenue. You will engage with colleagues worldwide to deliver banking, investment and other services, ensuring a holistic service for the client, whilst adhering to regulatory requirements and compliance policies to avoid exposing the business to undue risk. The Funds segment demands a sophisticated yet versatile banking services provider to ensure consistency of service and quality across the entire banking product set from card solutions through to complex multi-asset lending or cash management and investment solutions.

As a Relationship Director, your main responsibilities will involve:
• Managing and growing effective client relationships, and meeting a wide range of client needs, including investments, banking, credit and foreign exchange introducing specialists as appropriate to support
• Maintaining regular proactive contact and rapid reaction to client approaches and retaining existing and growing new revenue streams whilst delivering against agreed business plans for the segment Maintaining regular proactive contact with the client and respond swiftly to client queries and questions, with a focus on improving our customer satisfaction and net promoter scores
• Demonstrating a quality understanding of the business and strategy of the clients within your portfolio
• Ensuring that standards, both legal and regulatory, are constantly adhered to in order to avoid exposing the business to risk and maintaining sound risk management to prevent emerging risks
• Identifying opportunities and convert clients for long term commercial reward, as well as to be able to manage your own business plan and continuously refine how to achieve your business goals

As a Relationship Director, your skills and qualifications will include:
• Financial services and banking experience (essential) and a thorough understanding and appreciation of the need to operate to high risk and regulatory standards particularly in their target markets
• Excellent profit orientation and business awareness experience with a client focus, with the ability to build responsibilities and exert commercial negotiation and influencing skills
• Demonstration of strong knowledge of global economics and political conditions, current affairs and competitor activity and the implication of these will be necessary for benefit of our clients
• Demonstrating a depth of commercial understanding of the businesses they have supported in the past, coupled with an appetite to build a deep appreciation of the corporate and intermediary banking sector
• Having suitable industry qualifications and a knowledge of the standards expected by the UK Financial Conduct Authority and a detailed understanding of various policies adopted by Barclays Wealth
• Being action oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement in all areas of, with an ability to deliver quality results with a challenging but positive and influential style
