Senior Commercial / Contracts Lawyer

Our IT, IP and Commercial group provides a comprehensive range of legal services in the areas of intellectual property, IT and contracts and commercial law. Our clients include Public Sector, major multi-nationals, mid-tier businesses and start-ups, in all industry sectors.
About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the legal team based in our state of the art facility in Belfast, working closely with our London office. We are looking for a talented and ambitious individual with a passion for client service.
We are experiencing significant growth in both our private and public sector practices largely due to our ability to harness new technology to deliver better services, faster. This is the ideal environment for an individual who wants to be part of the future of legal services and solve real business problems.

Specifically, the role is likely to include:
- Reviewing, assessing, and drafting IT, IP and commercial agreements;
- Advice on IT, IP, e-commerce and general commercial laws;
- Supporting clients in the negotiation of a range of transactions
- Business Development, including over time building a network of referrers within PwC as well as developing direct client relationships.
- General Commercial, IP/IT and Outsourcing agreements.
- Experience in providing a managed legal service
- 6+ years PQE
- International experience
- Experience in leading teams
- Experience in being the account lead and liaising with the client
- Experience in working for clients in the media and financial services industry looked upon favourably
- Experience working with remotely based teams
- Ability to review, assess and draft contracts with legal skill and with strong attention to detail
- Ability to support clients in the negotiation of a range of transactions
- Ability to manage a team and to supervise junior lawyers effectively
- Ability to build lasting relationships with clients and identify and capitalise on new opportunities
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
