Deputy Project Manager – Supported Living (ISSDM-0817)

Centre 404 is a friendly, local charity that has an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families in North London.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to assist with the management of two small supported living projects supporting 4 adults with learning disabilities.

This role offers exciting opportunities for personal development, as your duties will also involve the development and setting up new supported living projects for our clients.

Working alongside the Project Manager and a team of Support Workers, you will provide excellent person centred care to ensure the tenants’ wellbeing, enabling independent and fulfilled living. This will involve supporting service users to take part in a range of meaningful and fun group activities, develop friendships and access services, as well as support with all aspects of day-to-day living.  This may include working in partnership with family and advocates, where possible and appropriate.

With the support of the Project Manager, you will contribute to the development of the team and carry out delegated tasks as outlined in the job description. You will be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of Support Workers. You will also support the team with the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and support to tenants.

The right candidate will have experience of leading and coaching a team supporting people with learning disabilities or another client group. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would also be an advantage.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about delivering excellent quality service and managing a varied workload, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills, and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Centre 404 is committed to staff development and supervision and we will provide a detailed induction and on-going training and support to enable the successful candidate to grow within this role.

Centre 404 is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk and we are looking to recruit people who share these values. All offers of employment are subject to an enhanced DBS check, proof of eligibility to work in the UK and two satisfactory references.
