Summary

IDN is looking for a part-time internal account manager to join our growing sales team. We improve education outcomes using technology and we want a dedicated person with good communication skills to help look after our school clients. We hire for attitude, and it would be an advantage if you have experience of sales and especially if you've worked in the technology or education sectors previously.

IDN is a specialist Education IT provider. We were founded in 2000 and following a recent merger now work with over 300 schools across the country to provide technical services, installations, advice, training and guidance in the use of technology in the curriculum. We're passionate about improving school outcomes using ICT and we're now seeking committed individuals to join our rapidly growing team.

What we're looking for

We are looking to grow & support our team of dedicated client account managers with an experienced internal. The role will involve contact with our valued school clients and the ideal candidate must possess first-rate communication and rapport-building skills.

We do our best to look after our staff and expect them to look after our clients in turn. While practical skills are important, we always hire for a positive attitude and a commitment to getting the job done for the client. We also like people who are passionate about education & technology generally.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively by email & phone to improve the client experience
  • Manage inbound sales enquiries and respond accordingly
  • Call clients to review proposals and create renewal documents
  • Schedule appointments for field based Account Managers

Essential / Desirable qualities

Candidates must have the following skills / qualities:

  • Excellent rapport-building skills and a positive attitude
  • Be driven, proactive and self-motivated
  • Good communication skills and a professional manner in telephone & email contact
  • Good level of computer literacy and ability to word with Microsoft Office productivity suite (Word, Excel & Outlook in particular)
  • Be well organised and able to demonstrate a planned approach to tasks
  • Have proven experience of producing client-facing correspondence and documents

Aside from this, any of the following would give you an advantage, but please apply anyway if you don't have them:

  • Be able to demonstrate a general enthusiasm for technology and/or an interest in the Education sector
  • Wider knowledge of business principles and processes.
  • Experience of administration or sales in the technology sector
  • Any previous experience of working or volunteering in the education sector (e.g. as a school governor)

Salary & Benefits Package

We are offering a salary range of GBP16,000 - GBP20,000 FTE dependent on skills & experience, pro-rata for 32 hours per week, during school term-time only.

There is some flexibility around when these hours are undertaken and the role may suit someone with childcare duties.
