About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Asset & Deployment Administrator to join the IT department within Head Office, Bournemouth.
As the Asset & Deployment Administrator, you will be responsible for the administrative duties within the IT department for the lifecycle of IT assets. Maintaining records and databases containing information regarding licences, warranties and service agreements for all hardware & software. Supporting the IT delivery function in the configuration and deployment of IT assets, managing stock levels and supporting related procurement and deployment activity.

Some of the key responsibilities within this role include:

  • Maintaining and updating inventory records of all IT assets.
  • Managing stock levels of all IT equipment.
  • Receiving new and repaired equipment delivered to IT, including unpacking, initial physical examination, checking and signing delivery notes.
  • Required to answer service desk telephone support requests, to enter details into the service management tool, to respond to any calls with which he or she may be able to assist and to pass unresolved calls on to the appropriate member of staff or external supplier.
  • Ordering phones and setting up of staff mobiles.
  • Managing staff mobile accounts – including communication sim swaps/barring/etc.
  • Troubleshooting broadband and telephone faults.
  • Managing broadband accounts – procuring/amending/migrating/closing.
  • Liaising with Site Personnel to establish site readiness.
  • Physical installations – may include setting up routers, imaging PC's/laptop.
  • Software installations, setup, updates, fault-finding and resolutions.
  • Hardware sourcing/purchase.
  • New starters/leavers.
  • Running regular reports for management, summarising and interpreting data.

About you
To be successful within this role you will be educated to GCSE level, or equivalent, to include English and Maths.
You will be able to work to tight deadlines and with a degree of urgency. Communicating effectively on the telephone and in person, whilst providing the first-class customer service to internal and external customers is also key to this role. Within this role, you will be able to work in an office environment that often demands high levels of concentration, whilst responding to changing priorities.
