We are currently recruiting a Management Accountant for our Central Finance Team:

Our Central Finance Team is a diverse team of professional staff led by the Head of Group Finance. The team is responsible for all aspects of accounting, management reporting and financial planning & analysis for the Group’s central functions and centrally managed costs. Centrally managed costs total approximately $150 million annually and are incurred across many entities and geographies.

The function liaises extensively with a wide range of contributors and stakeholders and covers a wide range of activates, from basic cost accounting to complex technical areas such as pensions and insurance captives. 

The Management Accountant Role:

The role holder will require the ability to deliver robust, accurate accounting for a range of head office companies working in conjunction with the US business service center (BSC) and overseas locations. This will cover the full cycle of activities from capture to statutory accounts compliance. They will also provide business partnering support as required for the Group’s central cost structure.

The role holder will have the ability and desire to grow within the function and show this desire through commitment and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Performance of management accounting for a range of head office companies, primarily the main PLC Company. The accounting covers a wide range of cost activity but also a number of technical accounting areas.
+ Providing business partnering support for functions as required by the Central finance organisation. 
+ Project finance support where required across the central organisation.
+ Liaising with the US BSC which deals with the majority of the transactional accounting for the entities.
+ Liaising with local accountants across the central structure to support accurate monthly reporting and statutory accounts compliance.
+ Preparation of the statutory accounts for the companies accounted for.
+ Liaison with external auditors on those statutory accounts.
+ Supporting ad hoc projects undertaken by the organization.

+ Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
+ Experience of ledger and financial systems management.
+ Self-starter showing initiative to solve problems.
+ Delivery and results orientation.
+ Collaborative work-style.

Qualifications and experience:

+ The successful candidate will likely be a part or fully qualified accountant looking for a diverse role.
+ Good project management experience.
+ Good excel skills and experience of Sage general ledger and BPC consolidation systems would be advantageous.
+ Preferable to have experience of multi-national PLC environment.
