Due to rapid growth and workload my Hampshire based client are looking to hire a Senior Accountant to work alongside the directors. They are a prestigious Chartered Accounting firm established in 1992 and they are experts in accounting , tax and auditing.
My client has over 80 audit clients , so the successful Senior Accountant would enjoy working in an audit environment also.
The Senior Account will also get involved in other more complex areas of work such as share valuations, acquisitions, forecasts, and due diligence so there is plenty of scope for professional development should you want to do this.
Duties of the Senior Accountant include:-
Preparation of statutory accounts using the IRIS system (although if you are not familiar with Iris this is not an issue) and associated corporation tax returns
Ensuring all disclosures are correctly included in the statutory accounts prepared.
Preparation of management accounts and liaising with clients.
Preparation of personal tax computations and self-assessment tax returns.
Ensure that we are providing all clients with the best possible service including identifying where we can add value.
Deal with HMRC enquiries
Keeping up to date with relevant legislation and accounting standards
A small amount of book keeping and VAT return work may be required but this would be for the more complex jobs outside the scope of the book keeping team.
