The Academic Partnership Unit (APU) at Coventry University is seeking an International Travel & Events Coordinator who has strong group business travel knowledge and excellent event management skills!
The role will involve researching, planning and organising business travel logistics for a range of stakeholders from across the University. This role will also involve working on logistics and arrangements for events which will at times require you to be on-site / attending the event (overseas and UK).
Business travel bookings (hotel, rail or flights) could be for a single person or groups, so it is essential you are incredibly organised and have excellent attention to detail.
In terms of the events side of this role you'll be planning and organising events that range from small meetings and training sessions to larger multi-day conferences overseas or in the UK.
In addition to travel and events, the role will support the processing of financial claims and invoices on behalf of the APU, maintaining a clear service level agreement with departments and staff across the University to ensure bookings, claims and payments are made in a professional and timely manner.
About you
You will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar events or travel role, whereby you are used to working with a range of stakeholder. You'll have a genuine interest in events and a proven background in booking multiple elements of group travel, booking meeting spaces and arranging events.
You'll need to have strong communication skills (written & verbal), amazing attention to detail, exceptionally organised and the ability to manage multiple projects at a time whilst always maintaining a high standard of work and customer service.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft office, primarily Outlook, Word and Excel is essential and you must be able to format and amend documents to a professional standard.
