Salary: Up to 20,000 GBP
Location: Glenridding, Cumbria
Type of contract: Permanent
Workplace description: This hotel is perfectly placed to explore the best of what the Lake District has to offer and is surrounded by a variety of walks and beautiful views from almost all rooms. It boasts two function rooms, the largest of which can hold 120 people for a formal function, plus a restaurant, and a traditional pub which serves real ale and has low oak beams, flag stone floors, and a warm Cumbrian welcome. Guests on Business have a choice of two dedicated conference suites. There is also a coffee shop plus an indoor swimming pool and sauna. Friendly and helpful staff is waiting to help make your stay a memorable one.
Main duties and responsibilities: Making food orders and all the kitchen necessities. Ensures that the pantry and the kitchen are well stocked at any given time.
Oversees all the kitchen and culinary staff.
Supervises to make sure that everything is done as well as it should be done.
Assisting the Head Chef in creating menus and writing of food recipes that are to be used.
Assigning the staff different tasks that should be done.
Ensure that sanitary conditions are kept at all times.
Essential criteria: You will have experience of working in a similar role. You will have an excellent attitude towards learning, be passionate about good quality cuisine and show dedication to your career. A stable background is desired for this position. Rosette experience would be advantageous.
Accommodation provided: Yes (on an all inclusive basis)
Charge for accommodation: 194.00 GBP per month
