Finance Manager (TGW)

About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Rail team to work in Newport.

What you'll be doing
As a Finance Manager you will:

• Be responsible for preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts and other financial and management reports at Rail centre level, complying with all relevant accounting policies and requirements
• Assist in preparation of fiscal pack and tax pack
• Act as custodian of financial processes, controls and procedures
• Act as a financial partner to ensure all financial issues are robustly and effectively managed and reported
• Support operational management to drive business performance to achieve agreed targets

Who we're looking for
You will:

• Be a qualified accountant, with an ability to interact and influence senior leadership teams
• Have strong technical ability to ensure exemplary reporting standards are maintained
• Possess strong interpersonal and influencing skills, since regular interaction will be required with internal stakeholders
• Have a customer focused mind set
• Have a high attention to detail and will be able to "roll the sleeves up" as well as being able to see the bigger picture
