About the role
Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our Rail team to work in Newport.
What you'll be doing
As a Finance Manager you will:
- Be responsible for preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts and other financial and management reports at Rail centre level, complying with all relevant accounting policies and requirements
- Assist in preparation of fiscal pack and tax pack
- Act as custodian of financial processes, controls and procedures
- Act as a financial partner to ensure all financial issues are robustly and effectively managed and reported
- Support operational management to drive business performance to achieve agreed targets
Who we're looking for
You will:
- Be a qualified accountant, with an ability to interact and influence senior leadership teams
- Have strong technical ability to ensure exemplary reporting standards are maintained
- Possess strong interpersonal and influencing skills, since regular interaction will be required with internal stakeholders
- Have a customer focused mind set
- Have a high attention to detail and will be able to "roll the sleeves up" as well as being able to see the bigger picture
