Our client, a division of a multi-utilities product specialist group, has developed quality assurance systems to support industrial pipe work. They are now seeking a Test Lab Assistant to join their team in Chesterfield.

As a Test Lab Assistant, you will provide technical and practical support. 

The products you will primarily work with are focused around the quality assurance of pipe joints. Our client’s incredible systems have been proven to significantly reduce failures in the welded joints between pipes. 

Based at the Chesterfield site, you will be required to undertake travel to customer sites to carry out primary inspections of pipe jointing solutions and provide on-site technical support and services. 

You will support the lab-based testing programs which will include dealing with test samples, preparing samples, undertaking testing and providing results to the relevant parties. 

Additionally, you will work to support the establishment of quality accreditations for internal and external services. 

So, is this the role for you? Whilst no experience is required, to be considered, you’ll need a great eye for detail and a positive attitude. 

Communicative and customer focused, as a Test Lab Assistant, you will need to be flexible and willing to travel, display a supportive, team player mentality and have the desire and drive to learn and develop. 

Ideal candidates will have experience of tensile testing operations; however, this is by no means essential.
