Our client is expanding their maintenance and fabrication team and Staffbase has been appointed to recruit experienced Fabricators to undertake MIG / Stick welding and fabrication activities at their busy production plant near Grantham.
The Role:
Reporting to the maintenance team leader you will be responsible for producing bespoke fabrications from drawings e.g. safety rails / barriers / hoppers / shutes
In addition you will assist with building/construction and maintenance and repair activities to feeders, conveyor systems, mobile and static plant as required.
Candidate:
The successful candidate will be an apprentice trained or time-served welder fabricator and ideally you will have an engineering qualification.
You must be able to fabricate from CAD drawings and you will be proficient in cutting, welding, burning, fitting, hard metals and surface grinding activities.
The work will be fast paced and applicants must have a positive can do attitude towards your work.
Applicants who have previous experience of working in heavy industry environments such as aggregates, recycling, quarries and /or cement work will have an advantage.
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday Days + OT
28 days annual leave
