As a major provider of further, higher and adult education to over 10,000 students, their staff have quality at the heart of everything they do.

Joining them as Student Engagement Advisor, you will provide comprehensive, responsive and flexible support in the Student Support Centre, student communal areas and at other sites, around a diverse range of issues as well as programmed enrichment and Students’ Union opportunities.

Working in close liaison with students, staff and external organisations, you will safeguard students and support them in achieving their full potential by offering holistic support including enrichment tailored to their needs. Maintaining accurate records of all student contact, activities and events, monitoring trends and evaluating support requirements of students as required, you will contribute to the planning, development and delivery of targeted cross college tutorials and events, and provide enrichment activities / events in the designated common room areas.

Qualified to Level 3 or above in an appropriate area such as youth and community, education, psychology, sociology or health and social care, you will have experience of leading on the planning and delivery of enrichment activities and events to support and enhance the student experience and have previous experience of youth and community work. With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will have the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of students/staff and demonstrate ability to deliver student workshops or tutorials.

Candidates who have knowledge of Government funding schemes for FE students and associated criteria are highly desirable, as are those who have experience of working with a Students’ Union and/or NUS.
