Growing distributor and assembly of goods and services based in Bristol are looking for a Logistics Manager within the Logistics distribution and Supply Chain sector .
Description
Key Responsibilities of the Logistics Manager include;
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, transportation and customer services
- Direct, optimise and coordinate order cycle
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers/customers
- Maintain an effective plan that best suits the needs of the business
- Keep track of quality, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints
- Supervise, coach and train sales/planning & warehouse teams
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
- Maintain driver Quality and No-show rate
- Maintain metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
- Directing, optimising and coordinating order cycles
- Working with the purchasing team to effectively manage procurement strategy, considering quality, cost & delivery impact.
